bulletpoint Callout Fees

Bristol Computer Repair do not charge a call out fee to home users within 8 miles of our premises.
Callout fees include mileage to and from the customer's premises.
You will be informed of any callout fees when booking an appointment.
We are based in Emersons Green, Bristol, BS16.

bulletpoint Diagnostic Fees & Estimates

Bristol Computer Repair can provide an estimate before a repair is carried out.
In order to provide this estimate, we need to spend time diagnosing the problem.
Our diagnostic fee is 1 hours labour (see pricing table below).
If requested, we can include an engineer's report for insurance claims.
If you decide to go ahead with the repair, the diagnostic fee will be waivered.

Our technicians hold both public liability and professional indemnity insurance, for both residential and business premises (excludes data loss - it is the customer's responsibility to backup important data).

Bristol Computer Repair offer a "no-fix-no-fee" policy on all computer repairs.
If a problem cannot be fixed or diagnosed, you won't be charged.

bulletpoint Payments

Computer repairs are charged by the hour.
Most jobs are completed within the hour.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer and debit/credit card.
Credit/debit card payments are made via our secure Google Checkout gateway.
Payment for the first hour of "Remote Desktop Support" is required upfront.
Payment for Onsite and Offsite computer repair is taken once a repair is completed.

bulletpoint VAT

Bristol Computer Repair is a small business and we do not charge VAT. This saves home offices and other small businesses 17.5%.

bulletpoint Warranty

All completed computer repairs are covered by a 30-day labour only warranty, commencing from the date on the original invoice. If the original problem occurs within 30 days, the technician will come back and fix it free of charge. Excludes computer faults caused by software, virus and end user errors.

All brand new hardware supplied by Bristol Computer Repair comes with 1 years manufacturer's warranty. All hardware supplied by Bristol Computer Repair is brand new, unless specified or requested by the customer.

bulletpoint What To Do Before We Arrive?

In order to help the engineer work quickly and efficiently, and where possible, please do the following before the appointment:
  • Have the computer switched on - This will allow the engineer to start work straight away, without having to wait for the computer to boot up.
  • Have any installation discs to hand - These maybe recovery discs, drivers discs or installation discs for your software (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Have any product licenses, keys and activation codes to hand - If the engineer needs to reinstall any software, these activation codes maybe required.
  • Have any usernames and passwords to hand - These maybe passwords for your windows user accounts, internet accounts or email accounts.
  • Backup your important data - whilst we make every effort to ensure your personal data is safe, we highly recommend you backup your data prior to the appointment.
