We operate a callout service to all Bristol postcodes. For callouts to premises over 10 miles away, a fee of 40 pence per mile will be charged for each additional mile. Callout distances are calculated using Google Maps driving directions.
|Diagnostic Fee||1 Hour||A diagnostic fee is charged for all attempted repairs; This is offset against the final bill if you decide to go ahead with the quoted repair|
|Virus Removal||1.5 Hours||Comprehensive removal of all malware and spyware. Installation of security updates and recommended security software|
|Windows Re-Install||2 Hours||Backups and format the hard drive. Reinstall the operating system. Activate and update windows. Restore users personal documents from backup|
|PC Health Check||1.5 Hours||A comprehensive 40 point Health Check; Install and update security software, windows patches, drivers and common runtime applications. Removal of unused temp files. Disable unused services. Hardware diagnostics and stress testing|
|Memory (RAM) Upgrade||1 Hour + Parts||Fully compatible memory installed and tested.|

There are several convenient ways to pay your bill.
|Cash||Cash payments must be provided upon return of your computer or once an onsite visit is completed. Please provide the exact amount as we don't carry a cash float and are unable to provide change|
|Cheque||Cheques must be provided upon return of your computer or once an onsite visit is completed. Please make cheques payable to "SMG Computers"|
|Credit or Debit Card||Credit/Debit Card payments are taken using our secure Stripe gateway. Credit/Debit Card payments are taken prior to returning your computer|
|Bank Transfer [BACS]||BACS payments can be made over the counter at your bank or through internet banking. We ask that BACS payments are made prior to returning your computer. Bank account details are included on the invoice|

SMG Computers hold public liability and professional indemnity insurance, for both residential and business premises (excluding data loss).
Onsite Support - A technician will visit your home or office at a prearranged day and time. Our appointments are booked in hourly slots; This means you know exactly when we will arrive and don't need to wait in all day. Where possible, the work will be carried out onsite. In some cases, it is necessary to return the computer to the office to carry out the repair. This could be due to replacement parts being required, time restraints or complexity of the job.
Remote Support - If you are experiencing software problems and still have a working internet connection, we can securely login over the internet and repair your computer. Our easy to use and secure remote support tool provides instant access, as though we were sitting infront of your computer!
